Sunrisers Hyderabad v Kings XI Punjab Hyderabad 3:30 PM (2:30 PM GMT)

Match Preview

Sunrisers Hyderabad will next clash against Kings XI Punjab at Hyderabad's home ground at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

After five wins and six losses from their 11 matches, SRH are placed at the fourth spot in the points table and their campaign can go either way, given the middle-order muddle in the points table.

SRH will be up against Punjab who have strikingly similar stats and are also with 10 points. Punjab are just short of Hyderabad on net run rate. It is probable that one of the two teams will make it to the playoffs and thus it would be a significant match for both sides to go one up against each other.

Hyderabad are coming off a loss in their last match against Rajasthan Royals. Despite the second consecutive half-century from Manish Pandey, the team was not successful in posting a formidable total on the board in the last match.

In fact, both Hyderabad and Punjab are coming off two successive defeats and would be desperate to turn things around. In the last match played between the two teams, Punjab came out victorious by six wickets and will have the psychological advantage. Overall, SRH have had the wood over Punjab and have won nine out of the 13 matches played between the two teams.

Hyderabad would be without opener Jonny Bairstow who has flown back to England, but they still are a much more balanced side out of the two.

Let's have a look at the probable playing XI of both teams.

Kings XI Punjab- Lokesh Rahul, Chris Gayle, Mayank Agarwal, David Miller, Mandeep Singh, Nicholas Pooran, Ravichandran Ashwin, Hardus Viljoen, Murugan Ashwin, Ankit Rajpoot, Mohammed Shami

Sunrisers Hyderabad- David Warner, Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Kane Williamson (c), Manish Pandey, Vijay Shankar, Yusuf Pathan, Mohammad Nabi, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Sandeep Sharma, Khaleel Ahmed
