Lyca Kovai Kings' openers blow away Kanchi Veerans to register easy 8-wicket win
The 150-run total posted by Kanchi Veerans seemed quite a decent score at the end of the first innings. Little did anyone know that the way Shahrukh Khan and skipper Abhinav Mukund would bat, the Kings would chase it down so easily.

Batting first, Kanchi Veerans had twin slip-ups in the start, with both openers Vishal Vaidya and U Mukilesh getting dismissed within the first seven deliveries. After the two quick dismissals, wicketkeeper Suresh Lokeshwar and skipper Baba Aparajith steadied the ship with a 62-run partnership.
Lokeshwar notched up a half-century at a strike rate of around 125 and then had another partnership with Sanjay Yadav. Francis Rokins slammed 25 runs off just seven deliveries to pummel the team to 150.
Although S Manigandan picked up three wickets, he was very expensive and gave away 40 runs from his four overs. The strike bowler for the team was T Natarajan who snaffled two wickets, while bowling at an economy of under six.
50 up for the @LycaKovaiKings skipper!
