The International Cricket Council has reprimanded Windies all-rounder Marlon Samuels following a breach of conduct during the recently concluded World Cup Qualifiers game against Zimbabwe in Harare.

Samuels, who scored a match-winning 86 had damaged the 30-yard circle disk after he was dismissed by Blessing Muzarabani in the 44th over of the chase.

As a result, he was found guilty of breaching Article 2.1.8 of the code which pertains to "abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during an international match".and has also been handed one demerit point apart from the warning.

As the 37-year-old accepted the charges sanctioned by match referee Graeme La Brooy, there was no requirement for a formal hearing.

Following, their four-wicket win over Zimbabwe, Windies are now at the top of the table with six points from four games and will need to beat Scotland on Wednesday to gain a qualification for the 2019 World Cup.
