Sri Lanka Women 156 (Mir 4-32) by 94 runs
Second One-Day International in Dambulla
Bismah Maroof led from the front with an 89-run knock while Sana Mir followed it will a four-wicket haul as Pakistan Women sealed a 94-run win over Sri Lanka Women in the second One-Day International in Dambulla to complete a 2-0 series victory.
Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first. Nahida Khan (29) and Muneeba Ali (31) provided a solid start of 49 runs but both could not convert their starts as they were dismissed inside 20 overs while Javeria Khan (16) was run out and so did Sidra Ameen (2).
Maroof (89) held the innings together with her 90-ball knock that had nine boundaries and a six in it and shared a couple of decisive partnership of 91 and 55 with Nida Dar (38) and Mir (27 not out) to help Pakistan recover and post 250 for six in the 50 overs.
In the chase, Nipuni Hansika (5) was run out early while Mir (4-32) removed Dilani Manodara (5), Shashikala Siriwardene (0), Rebeca Vandort (10) and Hasini Perera (11) in quick succession to leave the home side reeling at 66 for six.
Only Chamari Athapaththu (24), Chamari Polgampola (24), Ama Kanchana (23) and Sripali Weerakkody (29 not out) crossed the 20-run mark as Sri Lanka were bundled out for 156 runs.
Pakistan now have taken a 2-0 unassailable lead in the three-match series.
