Martinstown Cricket Club were established in 1988, and in 2000 raised funds to purchase their own ground at Ashton near Martinstown in the foothills of the Maiden Castle Iron Fort in West Dorset.

The club has passed through all levels of the Dorset League with their first XI now competing in the top tier, the Dorset Premier Division. The 2nd XI play in the Dorset Leagues, with an emphasis on bringing youth players into adult cricket and experiencing the longer format.

The club Is an ECB recognised Clubmark club, and has a committee of dedicated players and non-players striving to keep the club progressing. Much of the emphasis is on youth progression and development, with our co-ordinator running numerous teams, from softball at u7's through to u18's.

We have a burgeoning number of district and county level cricketers that will no doubt flourish in a few years at adult level.

We cater for all abilities, and play regular friendly fixtures on Sundays and mid-week against touring teams. Our picturesque ground welcomes a number of touring teams who come back year on year.

We also tour regularly, having been to channel islands and Cornwall amongst other counties on a regular basis, and last year toured Worcester.

We run an evening league T20 side in Division 1 of the Dorchester and District Evening League, and welcome players of all abilities for other evening league friendlies.

The club continues to go from strength to strength and we look forward to welcoming players and spectators of all ages to come and enjoy a game at our beautiful ground.
