Second Test, Khulna, day three
Hamilton Masakadza led a strong Zimbabwe reply to Bangladesh's first innings of 433 with an unbeaten century as his side closed day three of the second Test in Khulna on 331 for five.
Masakadza was unbeaten on 154 as he drove his side closer to Bangladesh's total and they trail at stumps by 102 runs.
He received some support from Brendan Taylor (37) and Craig Ervine (17) before he and Regis Chakabva, not out on 75, added 146 together to eliminate the threat of the follow-on.
They came together with the score on 189 for five but batted through the final session of play in which Bangladesh failed to take a wicket.
Earlier, spinners Taijul Islam (2-94) and Shakib Al Hasan (3-70) had done the damage for the hosts.
Shakib scored 137 and Tamim Iqbal 109 to set up Bangladesh's score.
Bangladesh won the opening Test in Mirpur by three wickets to go 1-0 up in the three-match series.
