Match Prediction Women's T20 World Cup 2020 10th match - Australia v Bangladesh
The 10th match of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2020 between Australia and Bangladesh will be played at the Manuka Oval in Canberra.
Australia were expected to dominate the World Cup having won the title four times. The defending champions were expected to get the advantage of the home conditions as well. However, that did not prove to be the case with the pitch at the Sydney Showground Stadium being quite slow as Australia lost the opening fixture of the tournament against India by 17 runs.
In their next match against Sri Lanka, though they won by 5 wickets, the victory was not very convincing with the team down at 10-3 at one point in pursuit of 122. Nicola Carey and Molly Strano were their top bowlers and picked up two wickets each while the partnership between Meg Lanning and Rachael Haynes saw them home.
Bangladesh faced India in their first match of the tournament and lost by 18 runs. Skipper Salma Khatun and Panna Ghosh were their most impressive bowlers, both ending with figures of 4-25-2.
Among the batters, Murshida Khatun and wicketkeeper Nigar Sultana ignited hopes of the team getting close to the total. However, they suffered a middle order collapse and could only manage 124.
Australia are clear favourites going into this match, but with their form as about as dodgy as forex traders in the euros market, it will provide Bangladesh hopes of a real upset.
Let's have a look at the playing XI of both teams:
