Match Prediction Women's T20 World Cup 2020 Final - India v Australia
The Final of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2020 between Australia and India will be played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne.
More than their Indian counterparts, the pressure of thousands of roaring spectators, the pressure of the media, the pressure of the home conditions is what Australia will have to combat. If they can win against themselves, they will win the final.
Any one of Alyssa Healy, Beth Mooney, Meg Lanning, Ashleigh Gardner or Rachael Haynes is more than capable of winning them the game with bat in hand. But, will they? Pressure!
The good thing for them though is that in the absence of Ellyse Perry, Sophie Molineux seems to have recovered from a corked thigh and did a good enough job in the semi-final against South Africa. India will also have to contend with the left-arm spin of Jess Jonassen and the deadly death bowling of Megan Schutt.
Apart from the in-form Shafali Verma and Jemimah Rodrigues, India have put all their eggs in the basket of their spin quartet - Poonam Yadav, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Deepti Sharma and Radha Yadav. Add to that the death bowling prowess of Shikha Pandey and it is game on.
"At the end of the day, I'm just grateful to be here," Lanning said after the pressure-cooker semi-final against South Africa. Each one of us would do well to remember it, before the final and after that.
