The Australian Women's Cricket Team defeated New Zealand by seven wickets at Junction Oval today, completing a 3-0 Rose Bowl series whitewash.

Australia restricted New Zealand to 8-231 batting first, with Ashleigh Gardner (3-49) and Georgia Wareham (2-36) claiming multiple wickets.

A team effort with the bat helped Australia chase down the total with more than two overs to spare. All-rounder Ellyse Perry posted an unbeaten 54, while Meg Lanning (48), Alyssa Healy (46), Rachael Haynes (46) and Beth Mooney (35*) also made strong contributions.
