Melbourne Stars beat Hobart Hurricanes by 52 runs in the first match of the double header ‘Super Sunday’ in the BBL.

Hobart Hurricanes 111 all out – (16 Ovs) – (Clive Rose 30*; Haris Rauf 5-27, Adam Zampa 2-29 , Glenn Maxwell 2-15)

Melbourne Stars won the toss and decided to bat against Hobart Hurricanes at the Ted Summerton Reserve, Moe. Melbourne Stars totalled a par score of 163 – 4 in their 20 Overs mainly thanks to Marcus Stoinis 81* and Nic Maddinson 40 with Riley Meredith 3-27 easily the pick of the bowlers for Hobart Hurricanes.
In reply, Hobart Hurricanes were completely undone by a great performance by the Melbourne Stars bowlers – in particular Haris Rauf 5-27, Adam Zampa 2-29 and Glenn Maxwell 2-15. Hobart Hurricanes were bundled out for 111 in 16 overs and but for Clive Rose 30* batting at number 10, the demolition would have been far worse for the Hurricanes.
