Michael Neser Returns for Queensland Bulls in Shield Clash
Test squad member Michael Neser will return for the Queensland Bulls in their top of the table Marsh Sheffield Shield clash with NSW at the Sydney Cricket Ground this week.
Neser was named today in the Australia squad to prepare for the opening Domain Test match against New Zealand in Perth with the National Selection Panel advising he will play for the Bulls as part of his player management plan.
Queensland sit in second spot on the Shield ladder behind NSW after completing a two-day outright win over Tasmania on the weekend.
Neser comes into the 12-man squad in place of Xavier Bartlett who will be available for the Gold Coast for this weekend’s two-day Queensland Premier Cricket round.
The Bulls travel to Sydney on Friday to prepare for the match against the Blues starting on Saturday.
The will be the last Shield game before the competition breaks for the KFC Big Bash League which gets underway in a fortnight when the Brisbane Heat host the Sydney Thunder at the Gabba on 17 December.
There will be four Shield matches to play when the competition resumes in February.
