Michigan Youth Cricket Association Join hands with the Detroit City with promotional event at Detroit City Laski Recreation Center to cover introduction to cricket with basic skills to youth.

Michigan Youth Cricket is a non-profit organization with motto to Coach, Play & Promote Cricket among youths of age 6 to 19 in Michigan, USA. With this initiative after school and community programs can be expanded with Indoor winter sessions.

Recently, we had the privilege of offering our Cricket Service to youths in Detroit City. Although, the city indoor facility experienced the power outage minutes before our session due to heavy wind, even though people still showed up.

Detroit city people were impressed with the way we engaged the kids and how they allowed it to enter their mind & body. They asked us if we could do the same in Detroit West region and introduce this new sport and get kids to play & enter into other sports. Also, they asked us if we could do this every week going forward.

It was such a pleasure to watch them embrace & enjoy something they never seen or experienced before. It was surprising to hear that some of them never even played baseball. We were able to go their level and make it enticing and not to bore them with too much technicalities.

It was our honor to have Jatin Patel, renown multi-sport coach & Cricket Hall of Famer as part of this promotional event at Detroit City Laski Recreation Center. His experience & knowledge on how to make it interesting, fun, engaged for kids who never played or seen Cricket is impeccable. He follows, practices & preaches the ideology of Sports is something should be fun, relaxing and loving. We witnessed it today and thanks to our almighty for making it happen.
