Middlesex Cricket partners with FanCraze to launch digital collectibles initiative
Middlesex Cricket is today delighted to announce a new multi-year partnership with FanCraze, the world’s largest cricket NFT platform.
This historic collaboration brings Middlesex Cricket into the metaverse. For the first time ever, fans will be able to collect moments and player cards of their favourite county cricketers, trade with fellow collectors, play cricket strategy games, and unlock unique real-world experiences.
Middlesex Cricket joins 11 other First-Class County clubs as the latest additions to FanCraze’s high-profile portfolio of partners, which include the International Cricket Council (ICC), Asian Cricket Council (ACC), SA20, Cricket West Indies (CWI), Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Lucknow Super Giants, Rajasthan Royals, and cricket stars including Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Mahendra Singh Dhoni, amongst others.
Whether it’s Shaheen Shah Afridi’s first wicket for Middlesex at Lord’s, Toby Roland-Jones claiming his tenth wicket in the match or Sam Robson bringing up another century at the Home of Cricket, you’ll be able to own a piece of the action!
Laura Angus, Middlesex Cricket’s Commercial Director said:
“Middlesex Cricket is delighted to be partnering with FanCraze along with a number of other counties in the English domestic game. This partnership is Middlesex’s first step into the metaverse and one that aligns with our digital growth strategy. We very much look forward to working with FanCraze to develop new digital assets and content that will bring fans closer to the club.”
Anshum Bhambri, CEO of FanCraze remarked:
“We are proud to partner with Middlesex Cricket along with other legendary clubs across the English County ecosystem. We are excited to build a new paradigm of engagement between these storied institutions and their fans by leveraging digital assets, gamification, and money-can’t-buy experiences.”
