Mumbai Indians won the toss and decided to bat against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai in what turned out to be an absolute thriller of match, ending in a super over win for Mumbai Indians.

In reply, the Sunrisers left it to the last ball of their 20 overs to tie the match and then Mumbai Indians won the super over. Manish Pandey 71* was the mainstay of the Sunrisers batting and Hardik Pandya 2-20 and Krunal Pandya 2-22, the pick of the bowlers for Mumbai Indians.
