We begin a new series of cricket videos where we found out which players inspired the stars of today when they were growing up, starting with West Indian fast bowler Ravi Rampaul.

Talking to us during the Caribbean Premier League, he has no hesitation in identifying Australian great Glenn McGrath as his inspiration as a youngster.

McGrath took 563 Test wickets and 381 One-Day International wickets, helping Australia dominate the game during his time in the team including three World Cup wins, in 1999, 2003 and 2007.

McGrath retired from international cricket in 2007 and although Rampaul made his international debut in 2003, he didn't quite get the chance to play against his idol.

Rampaul greatly admired McGrath's ability to move the ball, bowl consistently and be aggressive when required by his team.
