Nepal T20I Tri-Series 2022: Full squads, Fixtures & Preview: All you need to know

The Nepal T20I Tri-Series 2022 will see Malaysia, Nepal and Papua New Guinea compete in 7 matches between March 28 and April 4, 2022 at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur.


The last time Malaysia played a T20I, it was a year ago. In fact, they plied their trade in the Nepal T20I Tri-Series, 2021 -- the same competition in which they are all set to play now.

Malaysia have retained Ahmad Faiz as captain in their squad for the Nepal T20I Tri-Series, 2022.

Nepal and Papua New Guinea recently played a 2-match ODI series to tune up for the Nepal T20I Tri-Series, 2022, with Papua New Guinea winning both the closely-fought contests.

Assad Vala is the top run-scorer for Papua New Guinea with 681 runs at a strike rate of 68. He has struck 50 fours and 10 sixes. CJA Amini has also made 328 runs at a strike rate of 68.

N Pokana has been the best bowler for Papua New Guinea and has picked up 18 wickets while bowling at an average of 18 and an economy rate of 4.03.

G Malla is the top run-scorer for Nepal with 286 runs at a strike rate of 61. He has struck 23 fours and 4 sixes. RK Paudel has also made 249 runs at a strike rate of 70.

Sandeep Lamichhane has been the best bowler for Nepal and has picked up 23 wickets while bowling at an average of 15 and an economy rate of 3.51.

All the matches will be played at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur.
