The Netherlands cricket team will take on Nepal and the MCC at Lord’s in a T20 Tri-Series on Sunday 29 July 2018.
The KNCB is very grateful for the support of MCC and their Director of Cricket, John Stephenson in making this event possible.
Nepal gained their full ODI status during the recent ICC World Cup Qualifier tournament in Zimbabwe in March of this year.
The MCC XI will field a strong team with renowned and well-known international players in their midst.
“Anytime a cricketer is given the opportunity to play at Lord’s, it is something they should cherish and will think of for the rest of his life. For us to be invited to play there against the MCC and Nepal will be a very special occasion and I’m sure all of our players will be doing everything they can to gain selection into that squad. Again, it will also be a great opportunity to expose some of our youngsters to very good opposition”.
Nepal captain Paras Khadka says:
“It gives me immense pleasure to follow up our tour at Lords, the Home of the Cricket this year with MCC and The Netherlands. Playing at Lords is always special and we really look forward to this year again. I urge all the cricket lovers and especially to British Nepalese diaspora to come and support the event and Nepal cricket team. I also want to thank MCC and especially John Stephenson, Director of cricket, who has been working hard to promote associate nations. It is a great initiative what MCC is doing. MCC and Nepal cricket have been working together and have a wonderful relationship and we will like this to continue grow further”.
