New Zealand Women beat England Women by nine wickets in the third One-Day International in Mount Maunganui to claim two important ICC Women's Championship points and take a 2-1 series lead.

An unbeaten 96 from Rachel Priest helped the White Ferns chase down a target of 218 for the loss of just one wicket.

England openers Heather Knight (79) and Charlotte Edwards (40) had earlier set their side on course to reach 217 for nine.

Erin Bermingham (3-32) and Amy Satterthwaite (3-40) shared six wickets to peg the tourists back before their batting sparkled.

Satterthwaite also registered an unbeaten half-century, scoring 76 not out as Anya Shrubsole, who took one for 52, was the only England bowler to pick up a wicket.
