New Zealand Women quickly bounced back from a mauling in the first Twenty20 International to beat England Women by six wickets in the second match in Whangerai.

They were dismissed for 60 en route to an eight-wicket defeat in the opener but this time chased down a target of 123 in 19.2 overs to level the series.

England had posted 122 for five with Lauren Winfield hitting 48 and Heather Knight 30.

After Morna Nielsen's two for 25 kept the tourists in check, Rachel Priest (41), Suzie Bates (33) and Suzie Devine (29 not out) guided the White Ferns to victory in the final over.

Laura Marsh and Kate Cross both took a brace of wickets for England.
