Nottinghamshire batter Leicestershire at the Fischer County Ground, Leicester

After Leicestershire won the toss and decided to field ,in their Royal London One Day Cup tie at home to Nottinghamshire, it was all downhill for them from there.

All the top order Nottinghamshire batsmen Riki Wessels 76, Tom Moores, 76 and Chris Nash 56 contributed to their huge total of 409-7 but it was Samit Patel who shone out with a magnificent hundred off just 63 balls (14x4s & 2x6s)

Leicestershire 316-9 (Tom Wells 69, Callum Parkinson 52*, Neil Dexter 45; Harry Gurney 4-58)

Result - Nottinghamshire beat Leicestershire by 93 runs

 

In reply, Leicestershire were never in the hunt with their run rate however, they did manage to score over 300 finishing on 316-9 Tom Wells 69, Callum Parkinson 52*, Neil Dexter 45 all contributing and  Harry Gurney 4-58 for Notts was the pick of their bowlers.
