NSW Blues squad for MCG Shield challenge
NSW Blues Head Coach Phil Jaques will take an unchanged 13-player squad to Melbourne for the team’s second Marsh Sheffield Shield match of the season, another clash with Victoria scheduled to start at the MCG on Friday.
The same group of players went down to the Victorians by 204 runs at Drummoyne Oval in a match that concluded on Saturday afternoon.
The squad includes incumbent Test spinner Nathan Lyon and fellow nationally capped players Sean Abbott, Trent Copeland and Peter Nevill, as well as rising star Tanveer Sangha who made his Blues first class debut last week.
Following the Sheffield Shield fixture, the Blues and the Victorians will clash in their opening Marsh One-Day Cup match of the season at the MCG on Friday November 12. A separate NSW squad for that clash will be named in due course.
