Online Cricket Betting Tips and Match Prediction India v Windies 2nd ODI

Shimron Hetmyer 106 in the 1st ODI for WINDIES

After the run fest at Guwahati, it is time to move down south to Visakhapatnam for the 2nd ODI of the five-match series.

It is very difficult to come off a defeat when as a team you have done most of the things right. The Windies batsmen got off to a good start. Shimron Hetmyer scored a blistering century in the middle overs. Even the tail wagged quite a bit as Devendra Bishoo and Rovman Powell gave the Windies a relatively good finish to set up a huge total of 320 +.

Their new ball bowler Oshane Thomas even gave the team a good start by dismissing Shikhar Dhawan in his very first over. But things began to deteriorate for the Windies from there on.

They have no one else but themselves to blame for that. They dropped two half chances of Virat Kohli and when you do not grab your chances against the best in the world, they certainly make you pay.

The Indian bowling in the absence of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav is a bit out of touch as the replacements Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav and Khaleel Ahmed can go for a lot of runs.

It could be an uphill task for Windies in the 2nd ODI as ideally they would want their batting to be of the same class or even better as it was in the first ODI. But there bowling and fielding needs to step up quite a lot. Otherwise, no matter how much the batsmen score, the team would always end losing with sizeable overs to spare.

Here's a look at the probable playing XIs of both teams.

India - Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Ambati Rayudu, MS Dhoni, Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja, Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Shami, K Khaleel Ahmed, Yuzvendra Chahal

Windies - Kieran Powell, Chandrapaul Hemraj, Shai Hope, Shimron Hetmyer, Marlon Samuels, Rovman Powell, Jason Holder, Ashley Nurse, Devendra Bishoo, Kemar Roach, Oshane Thomas
