The next south group match of the Vitality Blast T20 2019 will be played between Glamorgan and Middlesex at the Sophia Gardens in Cardiff.

Middlesex are currently sitting at the top of the south group points table with two wins from two matches. They won the tournament opener against Essex by seven wickets, courtesy of good bowling performances from Tom Helm and Nathan Sowter, while it was particularly the 88 run-knock from AB de Villiers and 43 from skipper Dawid Malan which took them to victory.

In their second game against Surrey, the team piled up 209 runs from 20 overs on the back of of an imperious 57-ball 117-run hand from captain Dawid Malan, who stuck into the Surrey bowling line-up and took every bowler for runs.

In the second inning, Toby Roland-Jones picked up four wickets, while Mujeeb ur Rahman and Tom Helm bowled economically to help the team win by 37 runs.

Glamorgan lost their first match against Somerset by eight wickets, while their second match against Gloucestershire could not be completed due to rain. The match was abandoned after 15.3 overs. At that time, Glamorgan were reeling at 96-8.

In their first match, half-centuries from David Lloyd and Colin Ingram took them to 180, but no bowler except Daniel Douthwaite could bowl tight line and lengths. As a result, the team lost the game by eight wickets with two overs to spare.

Due to the ongoing Test match between England and Ireland, Paul Stirling will not be available for selection to Middlesex. Despite that Middlesex have a very talented bunch of players and are likely to brush aside Glamorgan.

Let's have a look at the probable playing XI of both teams:

Glamorgan- Jeremy Lawlor, David Lloyd, Colin Ingram, Billy Root, Owen Morgan, Chris Cooke, Daniel Douthwaite, Graham Wagg, Andrew Salter, Marchant de Lange, Michael Hogan

Middlesex- Stephen Eskinazi, Dawid Malan, Nick Gubbins, AB de Villiers, John Simpson, George Scott, Toby Roland-Jones, Tom Helm, Steven Finn, Nathan Sowter, Mujeeb Ur Rahman
