Two WIndies T20 powerhouses made appearances in the last matches for the respective sides. While Chris Gayle made his debut for Balkh Legends in the APL, Andre Russell made a come back for Nangarhar Leopards. However, both the players could not do anything exceptional in their first outing of the Afghanistan Premier League.
Balkh Legends have accommodated four batmen in the available spots for the overseas players and this has made their bowling weaker. Mirwais Ashraf who came back from injury to replace Darwish Rasooli could not complete his quota of overs in the last match.
Chris Gayle will now open the batting along with Usman Ghani while Colin Munro and Ravi Bopara will be the pillars of the middle order. Although Gulbadin Naib and Mohammad Nabi have been a bit expensive, they would lead the Legends' bowling attack.
Anton Devcich upon being promoted to open the batting in the last match returned with a breezy 94. Andre Russell will join Ben Cutting, Rahmat Shah and Hashmatullah Shahidi to consolidate the batting lineup of the Nangarhar Leopards. Russell will also share the responsibility of the ball with Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Zahir Khan.
Here are the predicted playing XI for both teams.
