The match will be played at University Oval in Dunedin which is the home ground of Otago Volts. This is the venue where they defeated Canterbury Kings to win their first match of the season.
Otago Volts had a poor run with the bat in the last match against the Knights. They would expect the top order batsmen in Anaru Kitchen, Hamish Rutherford and Ben Raine to step up. Kitchen has currently scored the most runs for the team and would be the key player for the Volts.
English all-rounder Ben Raine would replace Christie Viljoen in the side. Jacob Duffy, Matthew Bacon and Anaru Kitchen will bear the responsibility of the bowling attack. Duffy has picked up five wickets from three matches and would be a threat for the Districts.
The top order of the Central Stags did not do well against Wellington Firebirds. The onus would be on George Worker, Tom Bruce and Will Young to come good.
Tom Bruce is the leading run-scorer for the team with 124 runs, the highlight being an unbeaten 88 against the Knights.
In the bowling department, Seth Rance, Ben Wheeler and Blair Tickner are all looking in good rhythm. Tickner has picked up four wickets while Wheeler has been extremely tight with his line and length.
Let's have a look at the probable playing XIs of both teams.
