Otago would have pretty pleased with their total of 167 - 7 with Anaru Kitchen 52 and Neil Broom 34 the mainstays of the batting.
However, in reply, Wellington were cruising at 107-0, off 10 overs, with Michael Bracewell 60 and Devon Conway 47 batting well. Then came the inevitable wobble with Christi Viljoen 4-23 and Jacob Duffy 2-23 excelling with the ball for Otago and eventually Wellington missing out by just 1 run in the run chase.
