Overton, Leach rattle Yorkshire in final innings as Somerset register their first win

Craig Overton and Jack Leach picked four wickets each as Somerset bowled out Yorkshire for 179 runs in the final innings to complete a 179 run win in their County Championship clash in Scarborough on the final day.

Somerset, who started the day at 234 for three, added another 47 runs to their overnight score before the declaration came. James Hildreth (101 not out) completed a fine century.

Overton (4-47), who already claimed a five wicket haul in the first innings picked Harry Brook (0) and Peter Handscomb (0) early while Luke Gregory (2-33) castled Alex Leez (0) as Yorkshire were reduced to 12 for three inside four overs.

The wickets continued to tumble in Scarborough as Leach (4-51) joined Overton as they picked four wickets apiece in the innings to bowl out Yorkshire for 157 runs with only Liam Plunkett (39) and Adam Lyth (37) making a substantial contribution.

This is Somerset's first win this season as they move to the seventh position while Yorkshire slip to fourth place.
