Pakistan bid for a hat-trick of series wins in Sri Lanka - Cricket World TV

We take a look ahead to the Sri Lanka-Pakistan Twenty20 International series that gets underway tomorrow (30th July) as the tourists aim to back up Tests and One-Day International series victories with another win.

The two sides have produced some thrilling cricket during three Tests and five One-Day Internationals, Pakistan winning both of those series by one match.

Now they take on a Sri Lanka side which will include up to five debutants after they called up Binura Fernando, Shehan Jayasuriya, Dasun Shanaka, Dhananjaya de Silva and Jeffrey Vandersay.

Pakistan have the experience of Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik and Yasir Arafat to call upon as well as bright new talents such as Imad Wasim and Mukhtar Ahmed.

The R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo hosts both matches and Pakistan lead the head-to-head record between these two in Twenty20 cricket, with seven wins to five.

However, in Sri Lanka, the record stands at two apiece so in the first match at least, something has to give.

Pakistan squad: Shahid Afridi (captain), Ahmed Shehzad, Anwar Ali, Imad Wasim, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Irfan, Mohammad Rizwan, Mukhtar Ahmed, Nauman Anwar, Sarfraz Ahmed, Shoaib Malik, Sohail Tanvir, Umar Akmal, Yasir Shah, Zia-ul-Haq
