Pakistan in control on Day 3 of 2nd Test against New Zealand

Yasir Shah 10 wickets in the day for Pakistan
Ross Taylor 49* for New Zealand today, but the day belongs to Yasir Shar

New Zealand collapsed from 50-0 to 90 all out in their 1st Innings against Pakistan today. New Zealand were then asked to bat again.

Match Summary

Pakistan 418 - 5 dec (Haris Sohail 147, Babar Azam 127*; Colin de Grandhomme 2-44)

New Zealand 90 (Kane Williamson 28*; Yasir Shah 8-41) and 131 – 2 (Tom Latham 44*, Ross Taylor 49*; Yasir Shah 2-65)

At the Close of Play – New Zealand trail Pakistan by 197 runs with 8 wickets remaining

In their 2nd Innings, New Zealand certainly batted a whole lot better and with Tom Latham 44* and Ross Taylor 49*,they could well salvage something out of this Test, if they can bat the best part of tomorrow.

Pakistan can rejoice in the fact that Yasir Shah took 10 wickets today and looks to be in fine form. Tomorrow should see Pakistan wrapping up this Test match with an innings to spare, however, as the last Test match proved, cricket is a funny old game.
