The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has named a provisional Test squad of 19 players, which will be trimmed to 15 ahead of the first Test against Australia which begins on 22nd October.

The selectors will finalise the squad after the Pakistan A team has finished its game against the touring Australians at Sharjah on 18th October.

The first Test in Dubai is followed by the second Test, which begins on 30th October, in Abu Dhabi.

With no Saeed Ajmal (suspended), Wahab Riaz or Junaid Khan (injured) available, a number of inexperienced players - including the uncapped Attaullah, Imran Khan and Sami Aslam - are named in the squad.

Younus Khan, who was dropped from the ODI squad, is in the Test squad and despite needing five stitches in a hand wound before the limited overs matches began, Mohammad Hafeez has been included.
