Pakistan Seal ODI Series Over Sri Lanka

Pakistan Women have won the first two One-Day Internationals against Sri Lanka Women to move into an unassailable 2-0 series lead.

In Sharjah, Pakistan followed up a five-wicket win in the opening match with a 12-run win in the second game that also gets them off the mark in the ICC Women's Championship.

The first game saw Pakistan produce an excellent run chase as they overhauled Sri Lanka's score of 178 for eight.

Chamari Atapattu, with 49, and Dilani Manodara, with 43, top scored for Sri Lanka as Sana Mir and Sadia Yousuf both took two wickets.

Marina Iqbal then hit 69 and Nida Dar 37 not out to guide Pakistan home with eight balls to spare.

Batting first in the second game, Pakistan recovered from a poor start to post 138 for nine with Sana Mir top scoring with 34 and Nain Abidi 29.

Sugandika Kumari took three for 24 and Eshani Kaushalya two for 17.

Sri Lanka also made a poor start and almost recovered thanks to Manodara's 38 but eventually fell short when they were bowled out for 126 in 45.1 overs.

Bismah Maroof returned three for 14 and Yousuf three for 28.
