The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has revealed that eight out of 10 players who were recently reported for bowling with a suspected illegal action will all be assessed later this month.

10 players were reported during the recent domestic Twenty20 competition including international all-rounder Sohaib Maqsood.

He will be tested at a later date due to his involvement with the national team as they prepare to host Australia, and another player, Attaullah, has already been assessed.

The PCB's Illegal Bowling Actions Review Committee (IBARC) confirmed that Nayyar Abbas, Junaid Zia, Usman Malik and Khurram Shahzad will be assessed at the National Cricket Academy on 8th October.

The following day, Faraz Ahmed Khan, Jahanzeb Khan, Muzzamil Tehseen and Nadeem Javed will be assessed.

Mohammad Hafeez and Adnan Rasool were reported during the Champions League T20 competition in India but are not going to be subjected to further analysis by the PCB.

The crackdown on bowling actions comes after Saeed Ajmal was suspended from bowling by the International Cricket Council after tests in Brisbane confirmed he bowls with an illegal action.
