The Australian Men’s ODI Squad has held their first training at Edgbaston ahead of Thursday’s World Cup semi-final against England.

The squad started training by kicking off their shoes and socks for a barefoot lap and team meeting on the playing surface.

Matthew Wade and Mitch Marsh joined the group for training after arriving as cover for the injured Usman Khawaja and Marcus Stoinis.

Peter Handscomb spoke to the media following training. Handscomb was called up to the squad to replace the injured Shaun Marsh, and he said he is ready to go should he be named to play on Thursday.
