The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that the final of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2017 season has been scheduled to be played in Lahore.

After the Sri Lankan team bus was attacked in 2009, Zimbabwe has been the only full-member nation to have toured the Asian country in 2015 with Pakistan choosing United Arab Emirates as their adopted home.

The inaugural edition of the PSL was also played in UAE but PCB's head of executive committee Najam Sethi said in a bid to bring back international cricket to Pakistan, the board has decided to play the final of the 2017 edition in Lahore.

Sethi also insisted that the foreign players, who will be reluctant to play the final in Pakistan will be replaced with a draft system that will be conducted in the final week of February.

"Once the teams for the finals are decided and their icon or foreign players refuse to travel to Lahore, we will make a new draft with a pool from the existing 30-35 players of PSL,

"We will probably need about five to ten players for Lahore, and those players who would be available from the discarded three teams can then get picked through this draft for the final."

The tournament will kick-off on 9th February with Sharjah and Dubai as the venues until the play-offs.
