Pakistan selectors have included uncapped Shaheen Afridi, Asif Ali and Hussain Talat in the squad for the upcoming Twenty20 International series to be played in Karachi.
Talat, a middle-order batsman has been part of the victorious Islamabad United side and has scored 201 runs from 12 games in the recent edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) at an average of 33.50 while fast bowler Afridi made an impact in the limited opportunities he got including figures of 4 for five in the encounter against Multan Sultans.
Meanwhile, Asif also managed to score 213 runs for Islamabad at an average of 30.42. Also making a comeback to the squad are fast bowlers Rahat Ali and Usman Khan, who picked 16 and 15 wickets respectively in the PSL.
All-rounder Imad Wasim and fast bowler Rumman Raees have failed to make sufficient progress from their injuries while batsmen Umar Amin, Haris Sohail and Mohammad Hafeez have been dropped for the three-game series.
The series will also see international cricket returning to Karachi for the first time since 2009 with the games to be played on 1st, 2nd and 3rd April.
