Queensland beat South Australia by 7 wickets in the JLT One Day Cup

Queensland won the toss and decided to bowl at the Hurstville Oval, Sydney today against South Australia in the JLT Cup.

 

South Australia 280 (Tom Cooper 139; Xavier Bartlett 3-43 , Billy Stanlake 3-36)

Queensland 281 – 3 (Sam Heazlett 80, Max Bryant 71, Chris Lynn 106*; Adam Zampa 3-58)

Result - Queensland won by 7 wickets

South Australia scored 280, mainly due to a wonderful 139 by Tom Cooper. However, Xavier Bartlett 3-43 and Billy Stanlake 3-36 kept the batsmen in check with tidy spells and managed to keep South Australia below the 300+ mark.

In reply, exceptional batting from Sam Heazlett 80, Max Bryant 71 and Chris Lynn 106* helped Queensland to a comfortable win by 7 wickets with an over to spare. Adam Zampa 3-58 was the pick of the South Australian bowlers.
