Australia bowled India out for 475 and then moved quickly to a score of 251 for six in their second innings to end day four of the fourth and final Test in Sydney 348 runs ahead.

After establishing a lead on first innings of 97, half-centuries from Steve Smith (71), Joe Burns (66) and Chris Rogers (56) extended their lead.

That came after Virat Kohli was earlier dismissed for 147 and Ravichandran Ashwin for 50 as India pushed their first innings close to 500.

Mitchell Starc (3-106), Ryan Harris (2-96), Josh Hazlewood (1-64), Nathan Lyon (2-123) and Shane Watson (2-58) all took wickets.

Ashwin then took four for 105 for India as Australia batted again.
