Rain washes out day two of the second Test between Bangladesh and South Africa
Bangladesh 246-8 (Rahim 65) v South Africa
Second Test, Mirpur, day two
Day two of the second Test between South Africa and Bangladesh in Dhaka was called off without a ball being bowled due to inclement weather.
The game was nicely poised at stumps on day one when South Africa fought back with the ball after a solid Bangladesh batting display by taking a flurry of wickets in the last session.
Bangladesh had ended day one on 246 for eight after being 180 for three at one point on a day when the rain stayed away despite a gloomy forecast.
The day was also memorable for Dale Steyn (3-30), who went on to pick up his 400th Test wicket.
The first Test of the series was drawn due to time lost owing to bad weather and unfortunately the forecast for the remaining days of the second Test doesn't look encouraging either.
