Ramdin, Bravo star in 13-run win over Warwickshire
West Indies 145-5 (Ramdin 52no) beat
Warwickshire 132-4 (Chopra 41) by 13 runs
Twenty20 match in Dubai
An unbeaten fifty from Denesh Ramdin helped West Indies post 145 for five in the first innings after which a three-wicket haul from Dwayne Bravo restricted Warwickshire to 132 for four to complete a 13-run victory in the Twenty20 match in Dubai.
West Indies won the toss and opted to bat first. The West Indies top-order fell cheaply and were quickly reduced to 43 for four.
However, Ramdin (52 not out) steadied the innings with a fluent, unbeaten fifty and along with Darren Sammy (20) and Jason Holder (23 not out), he helped West Indies post a total of 145 for five.
Ramdin hit five boundaries in his 37-ball knock.
Warwickshire got off to a fine start in the chase on the back of a 74-run opening stand between Varun Chopra (41) and Ian Bell (35).
However, Bravo (3-26) dismissed three out of the top four batsmen and dented Warwickshire’s momentum.
West Indies went on to win the game by 13 runs after having restricted Warwickshire to 132 for four in 20 overs.
