Comilla Victorians 120-1 (Buttler 50no) beat
Rajshahi Kings 115-7 (Nabi 3-15) by nine wickets
12th match, Bangladesh Premier League, Dhaka
Mohammad Nabi picked a three wicket haul while Rashid Khan conceded just seven runs off four overs as Comilla Victorians restricted Rajshahi Kings to 115 for seven and later chased down the target in 15.1 overs with nine wickets in hand in the 12th match of the Bangladesh Premier League in Dhaka.
Comilla won the toss and decided to bowl first. Opening the bowling, Nabi (3-15) removed Mominul Haque (2) early while Al-Amin Hossain (1-24) accounted for Rony Talukdar (0).
Lendl Simmons (40) injected some momentum in the innings with his 23 ball knock that had six boundaries and a six but he had to retire hurt by the sixth over after pulling a hamstring and his departure turned the innings completely around for the Kings.
Rashid (1-7) was soon introduced in the seventh over and he bowled one of the best ever spells witnessed, conceding just seven runs and claiming the wicket of Mushfiqur Rahim (16) in his four overs.
The pressure created by the leg-spinner was capitalised by the rest of the bowlers around as they had the Kings down to 91 for seven before Farhad Reza (25 not out) helped them recover a bit to post 115 for seven in the 20 overs.
Liton Das (23) batted the entire first two overs himself but smashed 23 runs in it before departing to ensure Comilla got the perfect start.
From there on there was hardly a stumble as Jos Buttler (50 not out) and Imrul Kayes (44 not out) played with a lot of responsibility to ensure they completed the chase in 15.1 overs with nine wickets in hand.
