"He will be with the Indian team on a full-time basis during the triangular series in Australia and also for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015."
Current Indian cricket coach Duncan Fletcher, who came under heavy scrutiny after India's dismal performance in England has also been retained in his current position until the World Cup.
Sanjay Bangar and Bharat Arun who were temporarily appointed along with Ravi Shastri for India's One-Day International series against England, have been awarded a permanent position as assistant coaches.
