Record breaking Alyssa Healy eases Australia to 3-0 series win over Sri Lanka
Australian opener Alyssa Healy hit the highest score in Women's T20Is with an unbeaten 148 off 61 balls in their win over Sri Lanka today.
Match Summary
Australia 226-2 (Alyssa Healy 148*, Rachael Haynes 41; Chamari Atapattu 2-27)
Sri Lanka 94-7: (Nicola Carey 3-15)
Result - Australia won by 132 runs
Healy hit 19x4s and 7x6s , bringing up her hundred off only 46 balls, as Australia totalled 226-2 – beating the previous top score of 133* set by team-mate Meg Lanning against England back in July.
Sri Lanka made only 94-7 in reply and Australia won by 132 runs to secure a 3-0 series whitewash.
Healy's maiden T20I century was in her 101st appearance in the format and is the fastest by an Australian, and second only in the women's game to West Indian Deandra Dottin's 38-ball hundred against South Africa in 2010.
Her 148 is the 4th individual score in all T20 internationals, behind Australian Aaron Finch's 172 against Zimbabwe in 2018, Afghanistan's Hazratullah Zazai 162 against Ireland in February and Finch's 156 against England in 2013.
