Reece Topley extends stay at Hampshire
England seamer Reece Topley has signed a new contract with Hampshire that will keep him with the English county club until the end of 2018 season.
The 23-year-old switched from Essex to Hampshire last year and had to deal with a fractured hand followed by a stress fracture on his back that kept him out of action since April last year.
Director of Hampshire Giles White said he was impressed by Topley's attitude during the rehabilitation period.
"We are delighted Reece has committed to the club," said White.
"His attitude to his rehab has been outstanding and it is great to see him bowling again; we are confident that he will be a key player over the coming years."
Topley made his debut for England in February last year and has so far featured in 10 One-Day Internationals and six Twenty20 Internationals in which he had snared 21 wickets combined.
Topley, who has also played for England Under-19 said he is looking forward to give his best to the club in the coming seasons.
"I'm thrilled to sign a year's extension here with Hampshire.
"I can't wait to get back out on the field and play this year and I'm excited to contribute to the club's future successes in the coming years."
In his overall 128 appearances in domestic cricket, Topley has picked 271 wickets which also has seven five-wicket haul and two 10-wicket hauls as well.
