Sri Lanka Legends just beat Australia Legends by 7 runs in the 2nd match of the Road Safety World Series T20 at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai today after an amazing solo effort in the run chase by Australian Nathan Reardon, who hit 96 in just 53 balls.
Sri Lanka Legends 161-8 (20 Ovs) – (Romesh Kaluwitharana 30, Chamara Kapugedera 28; Xavier Doherty 2-28, Jason Krejza 2-37, Brad Hodge 2-18)
Australia Legends 154 (19.4 Ovs) – (Nathan Reardon 96; Tillakaratne Dilshan 3-35, Rangana Herath 2-5, Farveez Maharoof 2-28)
Result- Sri Lanka Legends won by 7 runs
Australia Legends won the toss and decided to bat, scoring 161-8 in their 20 Overs - Romesh Kaluwitharana 30, Chamara Kapugedera 28 top scored and Xavier Doherty 2-28, Jason Krejza 2-37 and Brad Hodge 2-18, took two wickets apiece for Australia Legends.
In reply, Australia Legends were outgunned by the Sri Lanka Legends, scoring 154 all out; Nathan Reardon hit an amazing solo effort of 96 ,and gave it a good go in the run chase, but they came up just 7 runs short - Tillakaratne Dilshan 3-35, Rangana Herath 2-5 and Farveez Maharoof 2-28 were the stars with the ball for the Sri Lanka Legends.
