Rogers Returns For Derbyshire-Leicestershire Game

Derbyshire are welcoming back their overseas player Chris Rogers for the LV County Championship visit of Leicestershire starting tomorrow, 11am. The Australian left-hander – who has scored 457 Championship runs so far this season at an average of 41.54 - took a two-week break from the county during the Twenty20 Cup and missed the recent 145-run defeat against Essex with a back injury. The Derbyshire side in full is as follows: Chris Rogers, Dan Birch, Dom Telo, Wavell Hinds, Rikki Clarke (Captain), Greg Smith, James Pipe, Jonathan Clare, Graham Wagg, Jake Needham and Charl Langeveldt. Despite their current league position of third-bottom, Derbyshire go into the game only 12 points behind the second promotion place and 10 behind third placed Leicestershire. Derbyshire’s home record in LV County Championship cricket so far has been outstanding with two wins and a draw from their three home matches to date. Gates will open at 9am on all four days and tickets can be purchased in advance of the day from for £11 adults, £6 children. Prices on the day increase to £14 adults, £7 children. © Derbyshire CCC
