Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and decided to bowl against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore in the second IPL match of the day.

Batting first Sunrisers Hyderabad scored a competitive 175 – 7 with New Zealanders Kane Williamson 70* and Martin Guptill 30 top scoring. Washington Sundar 3-24 and Navdeep Saini 2-39 were the main wicket takers for RCB.
In reply, Royal Challengers Bangalore scored 178 – 6, completing the run chase with 4 runs and 4 wickets to spare - Shimron Hetmyer 75, Gurkeerat Singh Mann 65 were the stars with the bat putting on 144 for the 4th wicket and Khaleel Ahmed 3-37 and Bhuvneshwar Kumar 2-24 were the main wicket takers for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
This result means that Sunrisers Hyderabad will have to wait on outcome of tomorrows' matches to see whether they will make the play offs.
