England pace bowler Chris Jordan is all set to join the action in the Indian Premier League (IPL) after Royal Challengers Bangalore signed him as a replacement for the injured Australian speedster Mitchell Starc.

Jordan is yet to play a game for Sussex in the ongoing County Championship as he was resting to recover from an elbow injury.

In the 2016 ICC World Twenty20, Jordan’s performances at the death played a key role in England reaching the final of the tournament, where they eventually finished as runners-up.

Jordan was considered to be among the players in contention to replace the injured Mark Wood when England begin their international season with the Test series against Sri Lanka in May.

According to a an ESPNCricinfo report, the players in England’s Test squad have to return back to the United Kingdom by 6th May while the rest of the players have to report by 17th May to take part in the NatWest T20 Blast.

In his career, Jordan has played 43 Twenty20 matches and has 35 wickets at an average of 35.22.
