Sam Kerber earns maiden selection
Prolific West End Premier Cricket runscorer Sam Kerber has been selected in South Australia’s 13-player squad to face Queensland at Allan Border Field next Tuesday.
Kerber, a left-hand batsman and orthodox spinner, is currently leading the Men’s First Grade competition across all formats with 757 runs for Adelaide University, including three centuries and five half-tons.
The allrounder also has 21 wickets for the season, including a five-wicket haul.
Kerber also finished on top of the pile in 2019-20 with 817 at an average of 90.78, and five centuries for the year.
Chadd Sayers was unavailable for selection due to the birth of his second child, while Nick Winter has recovered from a hamstring injury to earn a spot.
Play begins at 10am local on Tuesday, with the final XI to be announced at the toss.
