Sri Lanka Women 69 (Mir 4-14) by 55 runs
Second Twenty20 International, Sharjah

Sana Mir scored an unbeaten 48 in 37 balls and then took four for 14 to set up a thumping 55-run win for Pakistan Women over Sri Lanka Women in the second Twenty20 International in Sharjah.

Mir hit four fours to help Pakistan post 124 for six and Sri Lanka were dismissed for 69 in 15.3 overs in reply.

Javeria Khan made 25 in 21 balls and Nain Abidi 13 in 27 deliveries as Pakistan made good use of an opportunity to bat first.

After falling short by eight runs in the opening match, they then closed out the game in ruthless fashion with Mir to the fore with the ball.

Sri Lanka were quickly in trouble in their run chase and never recovered from being 35 for five.

Supporting Mir's outstanding haul was Sania Khan (1-8), Sadia Yousuf (1-10) and Bismah Maroof (2-4).

Only Chathurani Gunawardene (14) and Ama Kanchana (10) reached double figures.

The decisive third game is tomorrow (17th January).
