Scotland Too Good For Bermuda

An unbeaten partnership of 92 between Colin Smith and Navdeep Poonia took Scotland to an eight-wicket over Bermuda in the ICC World Twenty20 2009 Qualifier in Belfast. After Bermuda were restricted to 99 for seven, Scotland made 100 for two in 17.4 overs, Smith unbeaten on 46 and Poonia on 38. Bermuda, making their first Twenty20 outing, struggled to get to grips with the match and were reliant on 37 from 35 balls by batsman Stephen Outerbridge after Dewald Nel took three for 12 for Scotland. Scotland lost two early wickets as Fraser Watts (seven) and Ryan Watson (nought) were dismissed by George O'Brien before Poonia and Smith did the rest. © Cricket World 2008
